This was a really fun project and I’m really quite pleased with how it turned out. I worked on this job with my good friends Pangomedia and Tony Wright up in Anchorage, who did an amazing job with the overall project management and allowed me to stay focused on the art direction and development. We were basically tasked with telling the story of the Alaska State Troopers in an organized, engaging way that would help sway potential applicanats to sign up. It was a fun challenge to present so many different aspects without diluting the entire message. Plus I got to spend a month in Alaska!
It was also a good chance to flex the ol’ Flash / Actionscript muscles again. I’ve done less and less flash work lately because in most cases, it’s just got some serious drawbacks vs an html / css site. But this was more of presentation, and I felt it was totally appropriate in this case. I hope I can get some more work like this in the future.
